These guys are scam artists. Avoid at all costs!! I was looking at hybrid water heaters at Home Depot. A guy with a clipboard asked me, if I wanted a free estimate on having a hybrid water heater installed. I agreed. A rep from ARS Rescue Rooter came to my house and presented me with an estimate of $3900.00 to install a hybrid water heater. I laughed and invited him to leave immediately. He... Read more

Our heat pump/forced air system has not been working properly for months. I used ARS as the recommended provider through American Home Shield (AHS) home warranty. ARS first came out in May and assured us the problem had been resolved. Less than 60 days later, and in the middle of 100 degree heat, the system failed again. ARS, as the previous provider, was asked by AHS to come out again. The... Read more

I was in Home Depot and thought that I could trust their service provider, ARS Rescue... what a mistake. My problem was a screeching noise when the furnace fan started and it seemed simple but I didn't want to mess with it. We set up an appointment for between 12 and 5 and I intended to be home to consult with the repairman. But they called at about 10 AM and said if it was OK, they would be... Read more

I called ARS Rescu Rooter in Denver, Colorado for service of my furnace. From the start: I asked the operator how much was a service call? She placed me on hold, came back to the line, and informed me that the manager was extending their special of $79.99 to me. I agreed and the tech came out looked at the furnace, stated that it was old, rubbed some soot off the furnace and told me that I needed... Read more

My dad is 78 years old and has the beginnings of dementia. ARS came to the house in Houston and told him he needed a new A/C. They gave him a price of $12,125.00 for a new 3 ton Carrier unit. This price included the furnace and an infinity control thermostat ($517) and a $595 Plenum. That's it. If you have ever purchased a new A/C you probably know that this is about twice what it should... Read more
