After spendind $7000 on a new ac a few years ago, i called this week to get service. I asked if i was covered under warrwnty. They said i was 100% civered for parts and labor. Then when they got here, 5 minutes later the mechanic said i have a freon leak and would cost $257 to find the leak. More to fix it and then more to add freon. I told him they said i was covered for parts and labor. He said that the labir warrenty expired. He was rude. Told me to sign for the job or he was leaving. I called his boss and she said she would get right back... Read more

I was approached at Home Depot via ARS for them to look at my AC unit (free evuation) and the possibility of purchasing a unit.... It wasn't my plan to purchase a unit even though my unit was over 15 years old. A guy we will call John came to my house talking to me about my unit telling my my light bill should be no more than $72 a month and that my unit has me paying an estimated amount of over 43% on my energy bill. I let him know that I had a warranty company that I dealt with & they would reimburse some money based on the age of my unit... Read more

My fifteen year old HVAC system stopped blowing and the technician said it needed $1800 worth of repairs. He recommended replacing the whole system for $11K - $15K since the unit had "already exceeded its service life". Even though I was a loyal ARS customer for many years, I became suspicious because this was almost exactly what the technician told me two years ago when my other unit went out. At that time I replaced the system. ***, I was a chump. An independent technician came out and repaired my system for $165 and told me I should... Read more

they "reviewed" our HVAC for $9 through Home Depot. They then charged us for $27 because they claimed that we had 3 AC units rather than 1. they gave an estimate for cleaning our HVAC for $500. We asked for another opinion because the HVAC was brand new. The second opinion said that there was minimal mildew and cleaned it for $75. ARS is a bunch of crooks. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUCKERED INTO THE $9 REVIEW OF OUR UNITS AT HOME DEPOT. Read more

Well in April 2015 my home needed a new air conditioner so we called ARS 713-777-7777 in the Spring, Woodlands area in Texas. They responded very nice 2 days. Today was the first check up on the units and the service man told use the filter needed to be changed and the only place we could get it was ARS. (I was told I could get them at home depot. when I got the units in April.) So I once again bought a filter $114.07. And he felt I needed a part to keep electric surges on the gas heater from having a problem. Approx. cost 400. I said no to... Read more

Worst company I have dealt with. They talk a good game as to why they are the best and why it is important to got with a company and blah blah blah. It is just that talk. They completely misrepresentated what the company truly. It took over 2 weeks for my A/C unit to be installed and having to call everyday to attempt to get some resolution. The "managers" at the office are unprofessional and not sympathetic to the fact they waste their consumer valuable time. I had a bad leak in my brand new ac unit that also took over 2 weeks to have... Read more

This people came out to our home on 6/9/15 to replace 2 air condition units and 2 furnaces for 16,000. The tampered with our hot water heater and broke it. They turned of the gas and could not light it back. We noticed that night our water was not getting as hot as it should and called the next morning for them to come out. We contact the sales Bill Munson who handled our AC unit sale and he reported the concern to the office and no one returned our calls. Bill stated he could not find anyone to talk to( This was on 6/9. After making... Read more

These guys charged my wife $600 for labor for less than 2.5hrs work. Any mildly-competent plumber could have done this job. It was not emergency or after hours service. Scam artists. Read more

I called a couple days ago and scheduled for 3 jobs to be done by ARS at my house in kyle. After spending about 20 min on the phone with the appt person I was given a 4hr block. I should've just called another company after dealing with the appt person. She tried to tell me that I'd need 3 service ppl to come out to do the various plumbing jobs and of course pay 3 service fees. I tried to tell her some of the logistics of the job- appliance brands, water softner info but she said I'd get a call from the service guy and I could tell him. In... Read more
